Interested in Group Therapy? You're not alone.

Research shows that group therapy works just as well as individual therapy.  While this might seem surprising, group therapy allows for peer support and understanding in a way that traditional therapy never can.  Healing happens when we truly feel connected to other people.  Group therapy has the potential to accelerate healing by bridging the gap between therapy and real life in a tangible way.

Current Groups

  • Who: Married women overcoming betrayal trauma
  • Format: Support group with psychoeducation
  • Group Size: Limited to 6 women
  • When: Thursdays, 6:30–8:00 PM
  • Dates: Six weeks beginning March 5
  • Cost:
    • One time payment of $360, which equals $60 per session when paid in full upfront
    • $70 per session when paid weekly

This group offers a confidential, compassionate space to move through the waves of betrayal—together, and at your own pace.

Space is limited. Advance registration required. To register, call the office at 504-635-7162 or complete our online contact form below and someone will contact you.

Moving Through Waves

Betrayal trauma can feel overwhelming—emotionally, physically, and relationally—especially when you are still committed to your marriage. Moving Through Waves is a small, supportive group designed specifically for married women who are navigating the impact of betrayal while remaining in their relationship.

This six-week support group combines psychoeducation and guided discussion to help normalize the symptoms of betrayal trauma, reduce isolation, and offer practical tools for coping and healing. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of trauma responses, learn grounding and regulation strategies, and connect with others who truly understand this experience.

This group is led by Jessie Barnfield, PLPC
