Jessie Barnfield

Hello! My name is Jessie. I am a PLPC here at Full Life Christian Counseling.

If you and your significant other or family feel like…

you’re on the brink, trying to heal from a trauma or betrayal, desiring to connect intimately again, or therapy is the last chance for your relationship

then I might be a good fit for you!

If you’re . . .

noticing that you are repeating patterns, wanting to heal from trauma, feeling like you are not yourself, or wondering why you just can’t seem to get out of a cycle

then I might be a good fit for you!

How do I approach clients?

For all my clients I use a trauma informed approach which means I believe in creating an emotionally safe atmosphere for you and I to grow in trust towards one another.

My heart is to provide therapy to couples and families in crisis. I use a plethora of therapy techniques for couples and families. I love using techniques that help my clients get to the heart of the issue, because that is where forgiveness can happen. Often times in our relationships the issues that arise are because of a personal hurt our partners and family members do not understand. Perhaps, we have a hard time knowing what that hurt is or how to explain it to our partners. Perhaps, there has been a betrayal or a trauma within the relationship making it impossible to be vulnerable again. Whatever the issue may be I believe therapy is a great way to begin connecting, trusting, and becoming whole again.

In addition I also see individuals. I would love to hear your story, help you map out your life, and perhaps make sense of things that don’t make sense. Then using different therapy techniques to focus on moments of your life that may still be impacting you. Together we can observe patterns being repeated, set boundaries, and learn who you are as a person achieving the goals you have for therapy.

If you choose me

I believe that God can redeem any situation if we allow Him to. God already knows every part of us, but He is waiting for us to allow Him there. I believe that counseling is opening the door for God to begin healing parts of us and parts of our relationships we didn’t think could be healed. I would love to be a part of your journey and see God bring healing in your life.
