Thank you for taking the time to check out my personal page and explore options for counseling. It seems people often have hesitations when seeking counseling, understandably so. It can be a scary process, but may I encourage you to keep moving forward with the process. It takes a great amount of strength, honesty, humility and bravery to pursue counseling, but the real test comes when you’re knee deep in the process. Before you invest all that time and energy you want to be confident in a counselor who is a good match for your spiritual, emotional, and relational needs. Here are a few things you can expect from me if you choose to begin this journey as my client.
What I offer in my counseling
Hope: Hope can be described as something sought after, something coming, a future longing. If you’re longing for a change in life, a relationship, or your circumstances, I offer you hope for the future. I believe through the power of the Holy Spirit there is always hope for a better outcome.
Collaborative Efforts: I am here to listen and gain insight from everything you share. Counseling is no “one man show,” it is a joint effort and I believe we will attain the best outcome by working together.
Wisdom and Insight from the Holy Spirit: I have learned many skills and techniques through seeking education, but without the Holy Spirit’s influence my counseling is limited. God, being infinitely wiser than me, knows your circumstances better than I do, and He knows what the outcome will be. I commit to leaning on His wisdom through prayer and seeking His voice as I walk with you to accomplish your goals.
My Passion & Purpose as a Counselor
Being a small part of change is both an honor and a privilege; I would be wrong to take the credit for a life changed. God works in such an intricately divine way in every situation and He is the One who brings about the ultimate change(s). I am merely the vessel He chooses to work through. Life change may look different from what you and I expect, and sometimes it may even be harder than expected, but rest assured, I’ll be here to encourage you throughout the journey.

A Little about Me
Originally from Georgia, I moved to New Orleans in 2011 for grad school. Since that time I have traveled to Uganda, Africa multiple times, graduated with an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling, married the man of my dreams (and prayers), worked with antisocial adolescents in the Greater New Orleans Area, served as a supervisor for students pursuing their MA in counseling, and I have become a mom. In my down time I enjoy cooking new recipes found on Pinterest, sipping coffee with friends, spending time with my husband and daughter (who are my absolute favorites), painting my nails, playing in the sunshine, and enjoying the sweet treat of Blue Bell’s Cookie Two Step ice cream.
