Jessie Barnfield

Hello! My name is Jessie.

I am a PLPC here at Full Life Christian Counseling as well as a certified sex therapy informed professional (CSTIP).

As a therapist, I help individuals and couples navigate the complex intersections of sexuality, intimacy, and healing. Whether you’re working through the impact of sexual trauma, facing challenges in your sex life, or seeking a healthier and more connected relationship with your body and partner, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore, understand, and grow.

Sexuality is a core part of being human — and everyone deserves a safe place to talk openly about it. Together, we’ll approach your concerns with curiosity, respect, and evidence-based tools that support both emotional and physical wellbeing.

How do I approach clients?

I integrate trauma-informed therapy with specialized training in sex therapy. Depending on your needs, our work may include:

● Healing from sexual trauma, assault, or early experiences that affect your relationships today
● Addressing desire differences, sexual pain, arousal challenges, or performance concerns
● Rebuilding trust, safety, or connection with a partner
● Exploring sexual identity and body-image concerns
● Improving communication and deepening intimacy
● Understanding the mind–body connection and how trauma impacts sexuality

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your lived experience. I use interventions from SITT, IFS, EFT, attachment theory, and polyvagal theory. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership — one where you feel safe, informed, and genuinely supported.

If you choose me

I believe that God can redeem any situation if we allow Him to. God already knows every part of us, but He is waiting for us to allow Him there. I believe that counseling is opening the door for God to begin healing parts of us and parts of our relationships we didn’t think could be healed. I would love to be apart of your journey and to see God bring healing in your life.
